I LOVE Photography, Food, Art, and Travel. The ability to somehow
combine all these things to me is living the ultimate dream.
"It's one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it's another thing to make a portrait of who they are." - Paul Caponigro
I love this quote! It truly embodies how I feel about photography. Preserving the excitement and joy as you walk down the aisle, the absolute love and wonder in your child's eyes, the laughter of friends and family ...What a wonderful way to capture time and memories, and lets face it time moves all too quickly!
I also love the challenge of collaborating with fellow artists! Musicians, Videographers, Painters, Makeup artists, Designers. I’m a big fan of setting the “mood,” and there is nothing more amazing than connecting over concepts based off of the senses and seeing what amazing visual masterpiece we are able to create together.
On top of capturing beautiful memories, or collaborating with fellow creatives, I have a serious passion for food photography. I think food is unique and interesting to photograph... instead of words it speaks through texture, color, and taste! Your mind is the only limit while shooting food photography, and I think that's beautiful...
My goal is to be able to capture all of these moments not only for my clients, but for myself as well!
Besides being a photographer I am also a mother to three crazy, wonderful children who keep me on my toes and remind me to choose joy everyday. I am a wife to my best friend who puts up with my adventurous mind, supports my wanderlust and need for travel and independence, tries all my (sometimes unsuccessful) recipes, and is all around the most sweet and supportive guy a girl could hope for. I love to spend time in the kitchen working on recipes for my cookbook, or reading Harry Potter to my kids with our Welsh Corgi named Doughnut. I love copper accents, white stone counters, and floor to ceiling windows..I’m usually listening to Halsey, Amber Run, Lana Del Rey or some other “moody” musician..and I truly believe warm drinks taste better in beautiful ceramic mugs! I love (need) to travel and explore new places (and food) with my husband, and every year I attempt to try my hand at gardening.. practice makes perfect right?
I created this blog so I would have a space to share the people, food, and moments from my life I cherish. If you'd like to see my other page or want to get in contact with me please see my nicoledingmanphoto page above for a quick link! Or simply go to www.nicoledingmanphotography.com
Check out my Recipe page to see how to beat the winter blues with this months featured recipe, an incredibly delicious Hot Chocolate with soft peppermint sticks! It is so rich and creamy, and SO easy to make. The secret is in how it's heated!
I get all warm inside just looking at it!
"Fleeting Beauty" is this months featured art piece! This piece symbolizes how temporary superficial beauty is. From the wilted rose to the irony in the fact that the photograph will outlive the youthfulness of the woman. Hopefully the idea behind this piece will inspire kindness and the growth of inward beauty.. which lasts much longer.
